ABOUT

MF Robotics is a tech startup based in Leiden, The Netherlands. Our goal is to bring teleoperation technology into practical applications, to enable real work with robots. Advanced technology gives human operators detailed control over robot end-effectors. This results in new opportunities with high industrial relevance such as improving human safety, increasing task efficiency, and introducing new possibilities for remote operation altogether.

FOUNDER

Frank van der Hulst
Robotics Engineer

After spending a decade “in space”, Frank van der Hulst founded MF Robotics to bring intuitive telemanipulation solutions to earth.

In 2010, Frank joined the European Space Agency ESA for his research on intuitive haptic telemanipulation. As an engineer in the Human Robot Interaction laboratory he got amazing opportunities such as contributing to the development of an arm exoskeleton, haptic controllers for the space station ISS, and ground-breaking teleoperation experiments with astronauts controlling robots in real-time.

Strengthened with those experiences and renewed insights in reliable robot operations, Frank couldn’t ignore the high potential of teleoperation technologies in a world where more and more work is handled by robots or automation systems. He decided to found MF Robotics in 2020 to develop intuitive telemanipulation technology for practical applications, to enable real work with robots.
